Problem & Purpose Statements
Problem Statement: Wine Country Brokers in Napa Valley does not have a web marketing strategy, making it difficult to reach new clients and establish credibility.
Purpose Statement: The purpose of this study was to define and create effective web solutions that will attract new clients from the target market.

About Me
I'm Kevin Funk, and this will be my final class at San Francisco state. I'm studying Visual Communication Design (graphic design), but the career path that I'm currently leaning towards is Web Development. Photography is my biggest passion, and though my current schooling is for graphics, I hope to continue my photography alongside my career if it is not incorporated with it.
I grew up in Napa Valley, California where I spent the first 17 years of my life. I then enlisted in the Air Force for four years where I spent a lot of time traveling around the country, but spending most of my time at my home station in Oklahoma City. Upon finishing my service, I returned to the Bay Area and pursued a bachelors degree that I felt would support my new-found passion for photography.
I plan to pursue a Masters when I finish up at SFSU, though I have not decided whether to take the path of Photography, Web Design, or even Web Development (programming and coding for web functions).
I tend to be more of a left-brain thinker, which in a design world can be a blessing and a curse. In this research course I expect the research and conceptual design to be less of a challenge than the artistic appeal. Being my final and only course during the semester, I intend for this project to be the cornerstone of my portfolio, and something that I am proud to show future employers as well as schools that I apply to.
